We started concatvideoeditor.com because the Concat video editor grew fast and plain-language help did not keep up. The site explains what Concat does, how to install it and how it compares with CapCut and other editors.
Is this the official Concat website?
No. The Concat video editor is developed by Jareer (jub0t) and contributors on GitHub. Their official pages are the Concat GitHub repository and concatenate.pages.dev. We have no affiliation with the Concat project, CapCut or ByteDance, and nobody from those projects reviews our pages before they go live.
We use the Concat name to describe the software, as the project's trademark policy allows for reviews, tutorials and comparisons. Our logo and design are our own.
How do we test the Concat video editor?
We install the official builds from GitHub and use them on real footage. Every screenshot on this site was taken by us from Concat 0.2.7 running on Linux, with free sample footage from Pexels. When we state a time, like how long an export took, it is what we measured on our machine. Your hardware will give different numbers.
For other editors we cite public sources and note the month we checked them, because prices and plans change.
Does the site make money?
No. There are no ads, affiliate links or paid placements. We do not sell anything and we do not accept payment to change a comparison.
How do we keep facts up to date?
Version numbers, release dates and GitHub statistics refresh automatically every time the site is rebuilt. Feature descriptions are rechecked when a new Concat release changes them. If you spot a mistake, tell us through the contact page.
Where should I report Concat bugs?
Please report bugs in the Concat video editor to the developers on GitHub Issues. We can fix our guides, but we cannot fix the app.
